New Years Eve for those that love to eat



Anchovie and parmesan straws

Roast cauliflower and saffron soup

Caramelised apples, which featured in...

Grilled scallops and chorizo, with caramelised apples and scrumpy reduction

A cup of bloody mary sorbet

Barbequed sirloin, watercress salad, slow-roast beetroots with goats cheese 
(Plus celeriac gratin, and a whole salmon, poached in orange, cinnamon, cloves and white wine)

Chai tea jelly, rose petal ice cream (the recipe for which was made up on the train to London the day before)

Pear and panetone pudding, with plenty of custard

Followed by lots, and lots, of revelry
